About Us

I am a wife of a forces veteran whome suffer's with P.T.S.D (post traumatic stress disorder) Anxiety,and depression since leaving the armed forces in 2004,We have had some rough times over the years trying to battle his illness and needed the invaluable help of the Royal British Legion on many occasions over the years.Ever since receiving help from them i have always wanted to give something back to them to show how grateful we are for everything they have done for us and continue still to this day ! I came up with the idea sambags whilst enrolled in a fabric creations course at the local college,never used a sewing machine before but quickly learned and picked up how to make bags and realised soon over the weeks that i was actually not too bad at this and also realised how much i love making different funky bags.The Ashley Clarkson satchel range ( pictured left )was a idea i came up with to raise funds to help the Royal British Legion we was introduced to a family whose son had tradgicly taken his own life through the same illness as my husband.They had heard that i was heavily pregnant and no cot or moses basket for baby and they kindly gave us a cot and moses basket for baby and also a little bed for our 2 year old son.They hold a fun day every year in memory of Ashley and obviously i wanted to do my bit to say thanks so i came up with the four different designed fabric and hessian bags and had some poppys made and added ashleys little ladybird logo and asked them if this was ok and if they would like to sell them at the fun day and ALL PROFITS would go to the in memory of ashley clarkson fund which is then donated to THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION.They said that would be great and so the ASHLEY satchel was born.I now sell the Ashley satchel to any friends or family that want one as they know ALL PROFITS go to a very good cause The Royal British Legion to help[ all our  serving and non serving members of the armed forces if ever they should need their help.Anyone can purchase one of these bags if you want to help raise funds,just email me or catch me on face book @ Sam Bags.

I will send you fabrics through for you to choose from via email or facebook you let me know what you like and i will cost the bag up for you and let you know how much it would be for the different designs you may have picked if all is ok then i will order the fabric and make the bag just for you!!! I will not replicate any bag no matter how much people like them as it would not just be unique to you.if you cant decide i can decide for you but i will warn you i am a bit bright and far out there with colours and fabrics which i always find the best.Please look at the bags ive made to give you some insperation.Oh did i forget to say i also make a donation to The Royal British Legion from every unique to you bags too!
